City of Wichita seeks entry-level, limited part-time staff for seasonal assignments across Recreation Center, Athletics, Tennis Center and Watson Park. Work location is 840 N Yale St.

Formación

• Must be at least 16 years of age, or 18 years of age, dependent upon assignment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need of a sponsorship.
• Some experience in a customer service or retail environment.
• Previous cash handling experience.
• Offers of employment are contingent upon passing a pre-employment physical, which includes drug screening, and upon satisfactory evaluation of a criminal record check.

• Completion of work assignments may require operation of a vehicle.

• Knowledge of basic functions of arithmetic.
• Ability to count money and make change; and use a computer to access, interpret and record information.
• Ability to accept and respond to a steady volume of requests for information and/or service, both in person and over the telephone.
• Ability to lift and carry stacks of boxes or other loads weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to teach students who have a wide variety of experience and aptitude.
• Ability to communicate orally clearly and effectively.
• Able to maintain effective working relationships with associates, participants and the public.
• Ability to acquire and maintain a valid Kansas Driver's License.
• An employee will not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
