Job summary

MTC Corrections is seeking a dedicated individual for the San DiegoJob Corps Center. In this role, you’ll monitor and direct students in both on and off center activities, ensuring a fun and engaging environment.

You will be responsible for planning various activities and enhancing student retention while working closely with the youth. The position requires a high school diploma and a year of experience in a similar setting. Join a team committed to improving lives!

What you will be doing: You’ll be responsible for monitoring, planning, and directing students engaged in center sponsored activities both on and off center. Put your fun and creative skills to use to teach healthy and fun extracurricular activities!

Essential functions:

• Plan, implement and coordinate a diversified program that will attract voluntary participation.
• Conduct and coordinate recreation activities and chaperone students to recreation functions both on and off center.
• Conduct activities for career preparation students that enhance student retention.
• Assist with monitoring of the student store and conduct PE classes.
• Plan and conduct various activities to enhance student retention and meet all students' needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• One (1) year experience working with youth required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency
• Valid commercial driver's license (Class B) with an acceptable driving record and passenger endorsement preferred.
