Anchor Care and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a creative, energetic, and compassionate Recreation Aide to enrich the lives of our residents through engaging activities and meaningful social interactions. Plan, organize, and lead individual and group recreational activities.
Facilitate cognitive, physical, social, and leisure programs that promote resident engagement.
Assist with coordinating monthly events, holiday celebrations, and special activities.
Encourage resident participation while adapting activities to individual interests, abilities, and needs.
Build positive relationships with residents and promote a welcoming, inclusive environment.
Assist with transporting residents to and from activities as needed.
Maintain activity supplies and ensure activity areas remain clean and organized.
Observe residents during activities and report any concerns to the appropriate staff.
Ensure resident safety, dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times.
Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to enhance residents' quality of life.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience working with older adults or in a healthcare, recreation, or activities setting is preferred.
Energetic, enthusiastic, creative, and compassionate.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to engage residents with varying physical and cognitive abilities.
