Job summary

Candlewood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a compassionate Full-time Recreation Aide to join our dedicated Recreation team. You will plan and implement activities that promote socialization, physical activity, and cognitive stimulation for our residents.

From arts and crafts to outdoor events, you will adapt programs to residents’ needs, build meaningful relationships with residents and families, and collaborate with other departments to enhance holistic care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree or relevant certification preferred.
• Healthcare experience or recreational programming experience is a strong plus.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities; able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute recreational activities, including arts and crafts, games, and outdoor events.
• Adapt programs to meet varying resident needs and abilities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families and staff.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide holistic care.
• Maintain accurate records and reports of activities and participation.

As a Recreation Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life of our residents by planning and implementing recreational programs that promote socialization, physical activity, and cognitive stimulation.
