Job summary

St Mary Center in Lansdale, PA is hiring a part-time Recreation Aide to support residents through engaging activities in a warm, compassionate environment. This role requires a high school diploma and basic computer skills; prior experience with elderly and dementia care is preferred.

Shifts run 9am-5pm with every other weekend, offering competitive rates and benefits. Join our team to help residents socialize, stay active, and enjoy meaningful programs.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Must be computer-literate with Word, Outlook and basic software skills.
• Experience with elderly and dementia-care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning and executing recreational activities based on the needs and interests of the residents
• Encourages social interaction and communication between the residents through group recreation, and community interaction programs
• Facilitates recreational programs on an individual and group basis
• Provides individual intervention to residents based on personal needs and conditions
• Records resident attendance and participation level at recreation programs, writes progress notes, and attends care plan meetings as necessary
• Assists in the upkeep, storage, and organization of the recreation department supplies
• Assists with admission assessments, MDS, care plans and progress notes
• Ensures that residents receive the highest quality of service in a warm and caring environment which recognizes the individuals' needs and capabilities
• Performs other related job duties as required
