A temporary position for a lifeguard at the Oasis Pool on Dover Air Force Base. The role requires certifications in lifesaving, water rescue, and CPR. Flexibility in working hours is essential, as shifts may vary. Applicants must provide proof of eligibility and relevant experience.
This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Oasis Pool on Dover Air Force Base.
As a FLEX employee, you may work anywhere between 0-40 hours per week, on an as needed basis.

An applicant's eligibility will be determined based on eligibility claimed in the questionnaire and proof of eligibility MUST be provided with application by the closing date, 05/19/2025.
Eligible categories include Business Based Action, Military Spouse Preference, Outside Applicant Veteran, Spouse/Widow/Parent of Veteran, and Transition Hiring Preference.
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience includes paid and unpaid work, volunteer work through programs like Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, and other organizations. All qualifying experience, including volunteer work, will be credited. Your resume must clearly detail your relevant experience; if education qualifies you, transcripts are required.
For pool and aquatic center lifeguards: Must have an approved and current nationally recognized certification in lifesaving and water rescue, basic first aid, and CPR (child & adult). For coastal lifeguards: Must also have surf rescue techniques training. Experience with swimming activities, rules, procedures, and maintenance of safety equipment is desirable. Completion of background checks and a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) may be required. Must be available for non-regular shifts, including evenings and weekends. Hepatitis B immunization is required.
