The primary purpose of this position is to observe swimming areas to ensure the safety of patrons. Responsibilities include continuous observation, opening and closing swimming areas, rescuing swimmers, administering first aid, calling for medical assistance when needed, warning swimmers of unsafe conditions, operating water pumps, controlling chemical additives, inspecting diving boards, and performing related duties such as cleaning facilities.
Open to everyone. Applicants must provide proof of eligibility, including relevant experience or education. Must have current nationally recognized certification in Lifesaving, Water Rescue, First Aid, and CPR. Experience in swimming activities and safety equipment is desirable.
