Summary
This position is located at: Outdoor Recreation- Fort Riley, Kansas. The Fort Riley Outdoor Recreation Program is a multi-use recreation facility with a multitude of amenities and services. This is a developmental position. After one year of satisfactory performance in the NF-01 Recreation Aid (Developmental) position, the incumbent may be eligible for non-competitive promotion to NF-02 Recreation Assistant at management's request. This job is open to U.S. Citizens, Nationals or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. Clarification from the agency: United States (U.S.) Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
Duties
- Circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory. Receives and resolves customer complaints.
- Provides information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilities and machinery.
- Assists patrons in use of the facility by checking out equipment, providing safety instruction, demonstrating new equipment, teaching classes, etc.
- Assists in planning, conducting, and arranging support for special events, social activities, tournaments and related functions.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
Conditions of employment:

- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Must be willing to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Allowances and Differentials
- This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
