Job summary

Harmony Village of Beverly Hills is seeking a Recreation Aide to implement daily recreation activities and events under the Recreation Director. You will engage residents in familiar routines, provide encouragement, prompts, and hands-on assistance to help them stay active and connected.

The role involves leading music, crafts, and group programs, coordinating a monthly calendar, and documenting participation. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• Experience working with senior groups or leading group activities preferred.
• Knowledge of and experience with arts and crafts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements Recreation Programs as per the Monthly Calendar and directed by the Recreation Director.
• Assist in completing the Recreation Calendar and Facility newsletter; update as needed.
• Reschedule programs with staff approval and adjust calendar accordingly.
• Carry out One‑on‑One and Room Visit Programs and document visits accurately.
• Maintain electronic charts of resident participation in group and individual programs.
• Assist in Leisure Interest Assessments and communicate new leisure interests to staff.
• Report resident condition changes to the Recreation Director promptly.
• Promote and train volunteers for the Recreation Department.
• Lead group programs (music, crafts, recreation, exercise, religious service) as scheduled.
• Transport residents to programs and assist with community trips.
