National Health Care Associates' Evergreen Center for Health & Rehabilitation seeks an Activities Assistant to plan and implement a variety of recreational activities for residents. You will engage seniors in arts, crafts, music, and games, and help develop a monthly activities calendar with the Activities Director.

The role emphasizes compassion, teamwork, and the ability to work with residents needing support. Training is provided, with focus on creating a positive, meaningful environment.

Qualificações

• Experience in long-term care or senior living preferred but not required.
• Training provided for new hires.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

What You'll Do:

As an Activities Assistant, you have a crucial role in planning and implementing a variety of recreational and therapeutic activities. Your creative ideas and enthusiasm will contribute to fostering a positive and lively atmosphere for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, organizing, and executing a diverse range of activities for residents
• Engage residents in arts and crafts, games, music, and other recreational programs
• Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop and implement a monthly activities calendar
• Provide one-on-one support for residents who may need additional assistance
• Foster a sense of community and social interaction among residents
• Document and maintain records of residents' participation in activities

Rate of Pay

USD $19.62 - USD $19.62 /Hr.

What You'll Bring:

Qualifications of an Activities Assistant include:

• Previous experience in a Long-Term Care or senior living setting is preferred but not required - training will be provided
• Compassionate and empathetic nature
• Interest in the therapeutic needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
