Job summary

Texas Health Resources seeks an Addiction Recovery Specialist for the Recovery and Wellness unit in Mansfield, TX. The position is full-time, nights (6:45p - 7:15a) with rotating weekends and holidays, located at the Addiction Recovery Center.

You will provide therapeutic communication with patients, work with the Wellness and Recovery team and nursing, ensuring safe, compassionate care and adherence to behavioral health practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in substance abuse treatment or as a Patient Care Technician required; or a high school diploma or equivalent with CNA certification; or an associate degree in mental health or a related healthcare field required.
• BCLS, CPI and First Aid certifications must be in place as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Therapeutic communication is key when interacting with patients, collaborating with the Wellness and Recovery care team, and working effectively with nursing staff.
