Job summary

Texas Health Behavioral Health seeks an Addiction Recovery Specialist to join the Recovery and Wellness team at the Mansfield location. The role focuses on therapeutic communication with patients and collaboration with nursing staff and the Wellness and Recovery care team to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care.

Full-time days, rotating weekends and holidays, with a strong emphasis on safety, patient advocacy, and multidisciplinary treatment planning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in substance abuse treatment or as a Patient Care Technician required; or a high school diploma or equivalent with CNA certification; or an associate degree in mental health or a related healthcare field required.
• One year of experience in substance abuse and/or addiction services is preferred
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification required prior to providing independent patient care and must be maintained quarterly.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• AHA First Aid Certification required within 90 days of hire and must be maintained.

Work hours:Full time, Days - 6:45a - 7:15p, rotating wknds and holidays

Here’s What You Need
