Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington seeks a Recovery Therapist to deliver community-based behavioral health services on an Assertive Community Treatment team. You will conduct assessments, develop plans, and provide individual therapy and groups to adults with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders.

Join a multidisciplinary team, maintain clinical documentation in Credible, support recovery goals, and collaborate with hospitals and community partners.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field.
• Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) credential in DC.
• Current addictions counseling certification in DC (CAC) or CB-ISTP.
• 1–2 years of experience with adults with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders.
• Community-based or intensive services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct biopsychosocial and substance use assessments in community settings.
• Develop and implement person-centered treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Provide individual therapy using MI, CBT, and trauma-informed approaches.
• Lead therapy groups on substance use recovery and relapse prevention.
• Coordinate care with ACT team and document in Credible daily.
