Job summary

Volunteers of America Mid-States is seeking a Recovery Support Driver to provide transportation for residents in a residential treatment program and to help maintain a safe, supportive living environment. The role reports to the Sr. Program Manager and involves carrying out daily transportation duties and program support tasks.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, and must pass background checks. Equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities

• Drive participants to and from meetings, groups, and appointments as needed.
• Maintain operational control of the facility in the absence of senior staff.
• Ensure clients comply with VOA policies and rules.
• Maintain van sign-in/sign-out log.
• Monitor clients in van and facility and their behavior.
• Complete required documentation.
• Attend training and supervision.
• Observe and report maintenance needs and safety hazards.
• Assist peer support, program manager and other SEKY staff as needed.
