Job summary

MetroHealth Main Campus Recovery Room/PACU is seeking an experienced RN to manage the immediate post-operative period for Pediatric through Adult patients. The unit supports 26 beds with 40-50 surgical cases daily and operates on rotating shifts with rotating holidays and call requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or program seeking accreditation).
• Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers current or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certification current or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient airway.
• Assess hemodynamic stability and support.
• Monitor sedation, neurological, neuromuscular, and sensory motor status.
• Provision of adequate pain and comfort measures.
• Assess wound/incision integrity.
• Overall patient assessment.

Education
