Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking an RN for the Main Campus Recovery Room/PACU. The role focuses on immediate post-operative care for pediatric through adult patients, maintaining airway, monitoring sedation, and ensuring comfort and safety.

Candidates must have Ohio RN licensure, BLS, ACLS and PALS or be willing to obtain within specified timelines. PRN requires experience and certifications. Competitive benefits apply, including tuition reimbursement and retirement plan participation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS and PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire
• BSN preferred
• Magnet-certified qualification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient airway in the Recovery Room/PACU.
• Assess hemodynamic stability and support as needed.
• Monitor sedation, neurological, neuromuscular, and sensory motor status.
• Provide adequate pain and comfort measures.
• Assess wound/incision integrity and overall patient condition.
• Coordinate care with OR/ED/Inpatient teams and Radiology/Pharmacy.
