Job summary

The Hospitals of Providence in El Paso, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for PACU - Post Anesthesia Care. This is a full‑time, day shift opportunity within our Surgical Services.

You will deliver direct patient care, coordinate recovery, administer medications, and supervise clinical staff under the CNO to ensure high-quality, safe nursing care and appropriate resource management.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year RN experience required for PRN status.
• Recent acute care experience preferred.
• Licensed or eligible to practice as required; BLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical patient care in PACU on a per shift basis.
• Coordinate and integrate patient care based on the nursing process.
• Supervise staff and ensure safe, quality care and resource management.
• Administer medications safely and per hospital policy.
• Adapt to emergencies and participate in incident command as needed.
