Job summary

Behavioral Health Group - BHG is seeking a Program Director to lead our Albany clinic, guiding daily patient-centered care and supervising clinical and administrative staff. In this leadership role, you will ensure regulatory compliance, manage operations and staffing, and drive exceptional service delivery across the recovery journey for our patients.

The position requires a 6:00AM–2:00PM weekday schedule with on-call duties and opportunities for growth within a mission-driven organization

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor’s degree (or higher).
• 2–3 years of management experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Professional certifications or licensure related to the role.
• Experience managing substance use disorder treatment programs.
• Leadership experience overseeing operations, compliance, safety, accreditation, and quality of care.
• Experience serving economically and culturally diverse communities.

Responsibilities

• Guide day-to-day operations of the treatment center to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.
• Oversee admissions, medication services, patient processing, chart prep, and coordination with partners.
• Foster a welcoming, safe environment for patients, families, and staff.
• Address patient concerns and grievances professionally.
• Respond to urgent occupational issues, including after-hours as needed.
• Monitor program performance and improve processes and patient outcomes.
• Manage revenue and oversee expenditures within budget.
• Schedule staff to balance patient needs and minimize overtime.
• Lead staff meetings, case conferences, and QA efforts.
