Job summary

Brandywine Counseling & Community Services, Inc. seeks a Peer Recovery Specialist for the Dover Hopes and Dreams Drop-in Center. You will support clients by building social skills and developing a stable recovery plan to enhance wellness.

Responsibilities include education, coping strategies, and empowering individuals in recovery. Working hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., with compensation starting at $18/hour and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with 2 points or less required.
• Must be a peer; BCCS encourages applicants in recovery.

Responsibilities

• Supports clients in building social skills to aid job acquisition.
• Educates and empowers individuals to develop a strong recovery support system.
• Assist individuals with self-care, self-awareness, coping skills, and long-term recovery benefits.
• Models effective coping techniques and self-help strategies.
• Completes wellness plans and makes referrals to outside agencies.
