Job summary

Recovery Innovations in Wilmington, DE is seeking a Part-time Peer Support Specialist I for night shifts (8:00 PM–8:30 AM) on Saturdays and Sundays in the Out-Patient Community. The role provides peer support, recovery skill instruction, and advocacy to help individuals on their recovery journey.

Applicants should have Peer Employment Training certification, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and lived experience with mental health or substance use.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Peer Employment Training thus obtaining Certification as a Peer Support Specialist required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support to engage individuals in a recovery partnership.
• Teach recovery and life skills using recovery tools.
• Model hope, personal responsibility and self-advocacy to support recovery goals.
• Coordinate with clinical team to arrange services or resources.
• Complete clinical documentation as required.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
