SMA Healthcare in Daytona Beach and Deland seeks a Direct Service Peer Recovery Specialist to join a multidisciplinary team to provide rehabilitation, support, and crisis intervention under supervision.

Must have lived experience with substance use; high school diploma or GED; Peer Recovery Specialist certification preferred. The role includes case management, client education, and facilitating groups; travel between sites may occur.

Qualifications

• Must have lived experience with substance use and recovery.
• Education as listed: diploma or GED; peer certification preferred.
• Ability to work with adults with mental illness and substance use disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management and coaching within the program model.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and coordinate services.
• Educate clients and networks; promote wellness and social skills.
• Document client activity and maintain records per policy.
• Assist with home visits and outreach as required.
