Job summary

Gándara Mental Health Center in Brockton, MA is seeking an Outreach Coordinator to engage the recovery community, coordinate recreational activities, and connect partner organizations to support individuals in recovery. The role requires strong communication, cultural competency, and the ability to work flexible hours.

You will conduct outreach, provide referrals, and participate in ongoing collaborations with programs offering education, employment and medical assistance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in the field of substance abuse and strong verbal and written communication Skills.
• Bilingual abilities in Spanish, Cape Verdean Creole, or Portuguese are encouraged.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Outreach within the recovery community to support members in recovery.
• Oversee recreational and recovery-oriented social activities at the Center.
• Connect organizations serving individuals/families in recovery to collaborate with the center.
• Provide information and referrals to assist members with needed services.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and participate in supervision and trainings.
• Work flexible hours including weekends, nights and holidays.
