Job summary

Recovery Navigator role with Minnesota Council of Nonprofits focuses on helping individuals in recovery by providing peer support and guidance to access resources and set goals. You will mentor participants, share experiences, and track progress in a supportive AmeriCorps environment.

We welcome applicants who are in recovery, have reliable attendance, and can commit to a daytime schedule. Training and professional development are provided throughout the program year.

Qualifications

• In recovery for at least one uninterrupted year from a substance use disorder.
• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to understand and follow instructions.
• Able to set a pace and maintain a service schedule with agreed hours.
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Foster strong relationships with participants.
• Lean on your own recovery experience to provide mentoring and peer support.
• Connect participants with social service resources and programs.
• Track participant recovery plan progress.
• Participate in training and professional development during the year.
• Share your experience with the community.
