Job summary

Hagerty Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Recovery Managing Associate to support clients in navigating complex recovery programs. The role involves collaborating with leadership, developing strategic plans, and helping manage key Recovery division functions.

Some travel/deployment may be required per client requests. This position supports our national emergency management practice, with a focus on FEMA PA/IA program familiarity and delivering guidance to public sector and non-profit clients during

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and at least 3 years in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 2 years supporting FEMA PA and/or IA Program.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and Microsoft Word.

Responsibilities

  • Support local governments and private nonprofits with their comprehensive recovery from natural disasters.
  • Collaborate with government and nonprofit clients managing large disaster recovery projects; guide them through administrative and policy challenges.
  • Contribute to drafting guidance on FEMA PA/IA costs and activities.

Position Summary:

The Recovery Managing Associate will support our clients and navigate operations within our Recovery division. Candidates will be expected to collaborate with leadership, develop strategic plans, and assist in managing key functions of the Recovery division. Limited travel/deployment may be required by client request.

This posting is being used to build a talent pipeline for potential future openings across our emergency management – recovery function. While we may not have an immediate opening, we are continuously reviewing applicants and may hire directly from this pool as roles become available, contingent upon client needs.

Responsibilities for the Recovery Managing Associate Include:
  • Support local governments and private non-profits with their comprehensive recovery from natural disasters.
  • Heavily integrate with government and private non-profit clients who are managing multi-billion dollar, long- and short-term disaster recovery projects by guiding them through administrative and policy challenges.
  • Contribute to drafting guidance to clients on the eligibility of FEMA PA and/or IA costs / activities related to these disasters.
Qualifications for the Recovery Managing Associate Include:
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university and at least three (3) years of experience in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of two years (2) of experience supporting the FEMA PA and/or IA Program.
  • Previous project management experience.
  • Strong communication skills, including written and verbal presentations to clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and Microsoft Word.
Compensation for the Recovery Managing Associate Includes:
  • Salary range of $70,000-$110,000. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and training, licensure and certifications, internal equity, location, travel requirements, and other business and organizational needs.
  • Comprehensive benefits program, including health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending accounts (FSA) for health and transit/parking, short- and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid time off, holidays, sick leave, and more.
