Job summary

Spring Grove Recovery Center in Colorado Springs, CO seeks a compassionate Group Facilitator to lead structured psychoeducational and recovery-focused sessions. You will help patients develop coping skills, understand addiction, prevent relapse, and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment, collaborating with counselors and nursing staff.

Qualified candidates have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, plus experience in behavioral health; CAT/CAS/LAC credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Two or more years in behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment.
• Previous group facilitation experience.
• Knowledge of addiction recovery, relapse prevention, and trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate structured psychoeducational and recovery-focused group sessions.
• Educate patients on relapse prevention, coping skills, emotional regulation, and healthy decision-making.
• Encourage patient participation while maintaining professional boundaries and group expectations.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and therapeutic group environment.
• Utilize de-escalation and conflict-resolution techniques when addressing challenging behaviors.
• Document group attendance, participation, and progress in the EMR.
• Communicate patient concerns and behavioral changes to the clinical team.
• Collaborate with counselors, nursing staff, and other treatment team members.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and follow facility policies and safety procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinical Director.
