Qualifications

  • Qualified peer support specialist with certification required.
  • Personal experience with mental health recovery required; dual disorders/chemical dependency preferred.
  • Experience using evidence-based practices and person-centered rehabilitation approaches.
  • Knowledge of needs for individuals with mental illness and chemical dependency.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience in diverse communities and settings.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Supportive Housing Services.
  • Participate in team meetings and consultations.
  • Promote recovery as a key component in discussions with residents and team members.
  • Facilitate recovery skills development in mental health and chemical dependency.
  • Provide recovery education and planning in residential settings to support autonomy and independence.
  • Collaborate with residents to set goals and support self-advocacy.
