Job summary

Health Care Resource Centers, a BayMark Health Services Company, is seeking a compassionate substance use counselor to guide patients through MAT programs and coping strategies. You will conduct group and individual sessions, help manage crises, and assess progress to optimize treatment outcomes.

Responsibilities include initial assessments, treatment planning, and coordinated care with doctors and therapists, while engaging families in recovery when possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 1 year of individual counseling experience.
• Master’s Degree in Behavioral Science with a minimum of 1 year of individual counseling experience.
• Associate’s Degree or High School Diploma with a current certification and 1 year of supervision (CAC, CADC, CADC II or LADC II).
• Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals a plus.
• Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental attitude toward patients.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial assessment and evaluation interviews for service eligibility.
• Facilitates initial treatment plan development and reviews with each patient.
• Completes Bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Provide individual and group counseling; direct service hours; coordinate services.
• Involve families and significant others in patient recovery when possible.
• Respond to patient grievances and complaints.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor.

Education
