Job summary

WellPower in Denver seeks Residential Counselors for the Behavioral Health Solutions Center, a 24/7 crisis facility. You will provide direct support, assist with ADLs, facilitate group therapy, and manage intakes and discharges to promote recovery.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, monitor medications, advocate for clients, and maintain a trauma-informed environment while coordinating care with case management and other services.

Qualifications

• RC I: actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in social work, psychology, human services, or related field.
• RC II: Bachelor's Degree in social work, psychology, human services, or related field.
• Certifications: QMAP, CPR & First Aid, Physical required (prior to hire)

Responsibilities

• Provide individual psychotherapy with consumers to provide support and insight.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions within the house.
• Coordinate clinical care with case management services and other services both inside and outside of WellPower.
• Assess consumers throughout the workday and provide appropriate interventions.
• Encourage, support, and train consumers in activities of daily living (ADLs).
• As part of a multi-disciplinary system, help facilitate the treatment and continuity of clinical care.
• Complete intake and discharge tasks for consumers being placed in the house as new residents or moving out of the house.
• Maintain household safety regarding chores and activities.

Education
