Job summary

Elwyn seeks a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) to provide outreach to individuals in crisis and support recovery through trauma-informed counseling and resource linkage. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to respond rapidly to crises and guide clients toward long-term well-being.

The CPS role emphasizes mentoring, empowerment, social determinants screening, and advocacy, with flexible scheduling including some evenings/weekends, and a focus on person-centered care and recovery goals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in human services preferred.
• Current CPS certification from the Pennsylvania Certification Board is required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer counseling and support to individuals in recovery within a trauma-informed framework.
• Assist in WRAP development and adjust plans as needs change.
• Mentor individuals to promote hope, empowerment, and employment skills.
• Document progress according to regulatory standards and maintain confidentiality.
• Collaborate with CPS team to advocate for rights and reduce stigma.
