Job summary

Many Rivers Whole Health in Helena, MT is seeking an Outpatient Peer Support Specialist. This full-time, non-exempt role leverages your lived experience to inspire hope, support recovery, and help individuals navigate their wellness journey within a multidisciplinary team.

You will provide community-based peer support, develop individualized recovery plans, connect clients with resources, advocate for client goals, and participate in trainings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Self-identification as an individual in recovery.
• Ability to share lived experience in a professional manner.
• Able to obtain BHPSS certification within one month of employment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet-based programs.
• Valid Montana driver's license, personal vehicle, and current vehicle insurance.
• Ability to travel within the community.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide community-based peer support services to promote recovery and empowerment.
• Help clients identify goals and create recovery plans.
• Coordinate with treatment teams and community resources.
• Maintain client records and documentation.
• Manage an assigned caseload and productivity expectations.
• Participate in required peer support training and supervision.
• Engage in ongoing professional development.
