Aster Springs in Sylvania, OH is seeking a Dietary Care Specialist to support clients’ dietary needs, greet guests, and assist with meal service in a warm, professional setting.

You will manage food orders, lead orientation for new staff, run weekly culinary groups, maintain stock and safety standards, and ensure all dietary requirements are met for daily kitchen operations. You will collaborate with clinicians and support compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; 2+ years in behavioral health preferred.
• ServSafe certification strongly preferred.
• Ability to greet and serve clients warmly.

Responsibilities

• Manages food orders and pickups, ensuring timely and efficient kitchen operations.
• Facilitates orientation sessions for new Dietary Care Specialists, equipping them with necessary skills.
• Assumes leadership duties in the absence of the Lead Dietary Care Specialist due to PTO or illness, maintaining continuity in kitchen operations.
• Leads weekly culinary group sessions for clients, fostering engagement and culinary exploration.
• Serves as a key member of the team regarding dietary needs, menus, and stock levels.
• Ensures all dietary needs of clients are met and health/safety guidelines are followed.
