Job summary

Rosecrance is seeking an Addiction Counselor for our Men’s Recovery Home in Sioux City, IA. You will work with adult clients, establish treatment goals, and lead group and individual sessions to foster recovery in daily life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Addiction Studies or related field or commensurate experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual, group, and family counseling and educational sessions for clients and/or family members.
• Complete client psychosocial and individualized treatment plans within required time frames.
• Identify client clinical and case management needs and work to address those needs.
• Educate clients and families regarding treatment, health issues, and steps to recovery.
• Undertake primary case management responsibilities for designated clients.
• Maintain documentation in client service records per licensure, Medicaid, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with admissions, case management, and discharge planning staff.
• Take on-call responsibilities as scheduled.
• Present workshops and trainings to clients, families, staff, and community groups.
