Job summary

Volunteers of America Mid-States is seeking a Community Outreach Coordinator/Peer Support to lead outreach to referral sources and provide peer support throughout the recovery journey. You will work with courts, hospitals, and community providers to recruit participants and schedule assessments as needed, while supporting clients in multiple phases of recovery.

The role emphasizes building relationships, providing education on recovery options, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• KY Certified Peer Support Specialist preferred.
• Valid KY driver’s license and auto insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Follow through intake procedures.
• Maintain regular contact with referral sources including DCBS/probation and parole, hospitals and detox centers.
• Identify and support linkages to community resources.
• Provide recovery education to service recipients across the recovery journey.
• Develop relationships with community groups and agencies.
• Maintain project logs, reports and records.
• Coordinate outreach events and trainings and support client engagement.
