Turning Point Community Programs seeks a Peer Specialist to support members in achieving goals toward crisis resolution and maintaining wellness in the community. Under supervision, you will use lived experience to provide listening, hope, and recovery messages.
This role emphasizes empowerment, mutual learning, and connection to local resources. Schedule is Mon-Fri, 8:00 am–4:30 pm; compensation is $21.00–$23.73 per hour, with standard at-will employment.
Under the administrative supervision of the team lead or program director, this position is responsible for assisting members in meeting their expressed goals toward crisis resolution and maintaining wellness while living in the community. Additional support in areas of advocacy and the connection to local county/state resources will be provided as needed.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
This is an at-will direct service position within a program. The position will utilize lived experience perspectives and training to support client participants at Turning Point Community Programs. The peer specialist will provide an avenue for active listening and provide messages of hope and recovery.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES
Education, Training and Experience:
A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is through graduation from High School or completion of GED program. Varied life experience related to mental health.
