Job summary

CARE of southeastern Michigan is seeking a Peer Recovery Coach – Project ASSERT in Mount Clemens, MI. This full-time, hourly (non-exempt) position offers 37.5 hours per week and pays $19.00 per hour.

You will mentor individuals, connect them to community resources, and support recovery efforts. The role requires lived recovery experience, a high school diploma or GED, and certifications such as CPRC/CPRM or CCAR Recovery Coach Academy, with opportunities for training and growth within CARE of

Qualifications

Must be in long term recovery from a substance use disorder for at least four consecutive years.
One year of peer coaching or related experience preferred.
High school Diploma or GED required.
Must have or be willing to obtain CPRC and CPRM certifications.
Must have or be willing to obtain CCAR Recovery Coach Academy certificate, including ethics.

Responsibilities

Provide direct services to individuals as assigned.
Ensures assigned paperwork is completed and maintained in accordance with funding source standards and CARE of SEM policy and procedures.
Demonstrates in practice there are multiple pathways to recovery.
Facilitate timely referral and placements from hospital to treatment/recovery support providers.
Documents information for established metrics and outcomes as required.
Ability to adjust hours of work based on the community needs, including evening and weekends.
