Job summary

Advantage Behavioral Health Systems in Athens, GA seeks an entry-level Recovery Coach to provide recovery supports and paraprofessional social services to clients seeking recovery from substance use disorders.

Under supervision, supports clients through intake, assessment, and linkage to community resources in a client-centered, peer-led approach, across a continuum of care. Full-time with flexible shifts available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Addiction Recovery Empowerment Specialist (CARES) or eligible to obtain CARES.
• 1 year of full-time (or equivalent part-time) work experience in social services delivery for addictive diseases.
• Strong communication skills and recovery language.

Responsibilities

• Interviews clients and family members to obtain collateral information and support recovery goals.
• Documents encounters and maintains records per agency guidelines.
• Provides peer supports to assist clients in developing recovery capital goals.
• Coordinates with medical staff, case managers, and other treatment programs.
