Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be in recovery for at least 1 year or have lived experience.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred.
• Complete CCAR Recovery Coach Academy model and ethics training.
• Willing to register as a Maine registered recovery coach.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate Recovery-Based Values in all interactions.
• Engage individuals in recovery centers, hospitals, shelters, and community settings.
• Conduct Recovery Capital Assessments and support goal setting.
• Assist with referrals and coordination of mental health and substance use services.
• Help remove barriers to care and connect to housing, healthcare, and workforce resources.
• Provide peer support, coaching, and psycho-educational group facilitation.
• Advocate for recoverees and support self-advocacy.
