Job summary

Eliot is seeking a committed Peer Specialist to join our Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) division. This role works with adults with severe mental illness in community and residential settings, focusing on recovery, empowerment, and person-centered care.

The ideal candidate has a recovery-focused mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and ACCS team members. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm, with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Must have received Mental Health services in the past and have self-knowledge to manage recovery.
• Certified Peer Specialist or must complete certification within six months of hire.
• Valid Massachusetts driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Empower persons with mental illness to exercise autonomy and develop self-advocacy.
• Collaborate with the ACCS team to center the Person's perspective in care.
• Provide training and consultation to staff about person-centered approaches.
• Support recovery journeys and help develop self-management plans.
• Assist in developing treatment plans and encourage patient participation.
