Job summary

Comprehensive Treatment Centers in Watsontown, PA seeks a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist to support patients recovering from Opioid Use Disorder in a MAT/OTP setting. The role focuses on breaking barriers to treatment, fostering engagement, and promoting relapse prevention through peer-led care.

The position requires PRSS certification and a High School Diploma or GED, with college degree preferred. 37.5 hours weekly, early morning shifts, and opportunities for growth are included.

Qualifications

• Certified Peer Recovery Specialist required; PRSS certification strongly preferred
• High School Diploma or GED is required; college degree preferred
• Direct experience in substance use disorder is highly preferred or demonstrated through life experiences, internships, or coursework

Responsibilities

• Provides peer support to clinically complex patients using lived experience to encourage engagement in recovery
• Engages patients at initial contact to determine appropriate level of care
• Acts as advocate and mentor to promote empowerment and informed decision making
• Model healthy coping strategies and wellness behaviors to support long-term recovery
• Provides information on MAT options and treatment maintenance
• Coordinates with clinicians and community resources to support housing, employment, and daily living needs
• Documents patient status, no-shows, and care plans in accordance with policy
