Job summary

Eliot Community Human Services seeks a Recovery Coach to provide in-home support and services, primarily for addiction treatment within the CBHC program. You’ll work with youth, families, and adults, contributing to individualized treatment plans and culturally competent care.

Position emphasizes community-based interventions, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and opportunities for professional growth through ongoing training and leadership development.

Qualifications

• Lived experience and sustained recovery required.
• Experience working with adults with mental illness/substance abuse.
• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license required.
• Certified Recovery Coach or willingness to obtain certification preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide interventions focused on problem-solving, skills training, and encouragement for individuals.
• Utilize lived experience to support and educate the client’s recovery.
• Provide client perspectives to multidisciplinary team.
• Assist the team with ongoing assessment and evaluation of symptoms and interventions.
• Contribute to development of treatment plans, including triage and CBHC services.
• Support in-home stabilization and evaluations during behavioral health events, focusing on addiction treatment.

Eliot is seeking an empathetic Recovery Coach dedicated to providing quality treatment and support to clients. Eliot’s innovative Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) program serves as a single entry point for mental health and substance use services for youth, families and adults. Recovery Coaches are an essential part of the supportive workforce within the CBHC, playing an integral part in developing support and individualized treatment plans for clients. The ideal candidate will provide in-home support and services to clients, primarily focusing on addiction related services. This person should ensure that treatment goals are culturally competent, realistic, attainable and promote recovery.

Responsibilities

• Provide interventions focused on problem-solving, skills training, behavior modeling, optimism, and encouragement for individuals
• Utilize lived experience to support and educate the client’s recovery
• Provide client perspectives to multidisciplinary team
• Assist the team and individuals with ongoing assessment and evaluation of symptoms and effectiveness of staff interventions
• Contribute to the development of treatment plans for each client, including triage/urgent care and CBHC team services
• Support stabilization and evaluations in the community, focusing on developing in-home support for adults during behavioral health emergencies, with an emphasis on addiction treatment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Lived experience and sustained recovery
• Experience working with adults with mental illness/substance abuse
• Valid Massachusetts drivers license
• Certified Recovery Coach or willingness to obtain certification
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

Pay Rates

• Non-Certified Recovery Coach- $21.63
• Certified Recovery Coach- $25.48

Hourly Rate: $21.63 USD - $25.48 USD

Bilingual candidates fluent in a needed language may be eligible for a 6% salary increase.
