Job summary

Wildwood Recovery Center in Clintwood, Virginia seeks a Patient Care Specialist to support daily operations, supervise clients, and reinforce a recovery-focused environment. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor behavior, and participate in therapeutic programming under supervision.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed interactions, documentation accuracy, and collaboration with clinical staff to ensure safety and quality care for residents in recovery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in residential behavioral health, addiction treatment, or human services strongly preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Virginia driver’s license preferred or with clean driving record for client transport duties.
• Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid/CPI within 30 days if not already certified.
• Familiarity with ASAM 3.5, 3.1, 2.5 standards and Medicaid/DBHDS requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous supervision and support to residential clients to ensure a safe, structured, and respectful environment.
• Assist with daily residential operations including client orientation, room assignments, and facility routines.
• Monitor dorm areas and common spaces to ensure cleanliness, organization, and appropriate client conduct.
• Accurately complete rounds logs, incident reports, and observation records and communicate updates to supervisors.
