Job summary

Release Recovery in Westchester is growing its team for the Men’s Transitional Living Program. The Recovery Associate plays a foundational role in day-to-day operations and culture, providing consistent presence and trusted support for clients navigating substance use and mental health challenges.

The role requires professionalism, emotional intelligence, strong boundaries, and a commitment to safety, structure, and community within the residence.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in recovery or behavioral health settings preferred.
• Knowledge of substance use and mental health concepts.
• Ability to maintain boundaries with clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Comfortable in fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Compliance: Administer drug and BAC testing, conduct room searches, adhere to medication procedures, respond to crises as needed.
• Daily Program Operations: Maintain home structure, schedule activities, check-ins/check-outs, monitor attendance.
• Community Engagement & Client Interaction: Foster safe, respectful environment; model professionalism; engage clients with appropriate support.
• Flexibility & Team Support: Adapt to shifting priorities; attend staff meetings; uphold facility standards.
