Job description

Position Overview

The Records Program Services Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of records storage, retention scheduling, maintenance, protection, retrieval, and disposition of records maintained at the Hanford Site. This position ensures compliance with contractual, regulatory, and records management requirements outlined in the Statement of Work and applicable governing regulations. The Manager plans, directs, and coordinates Records Program Services personnel and activities to support operational excellence, regulatory compliance, customer service, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Major Activities (Typical Duties/Responsibilities)
  • Reports directly to the OSC Technical Solutions Records Manager and provides leadership and oversight for Records Program Services operations and personnel.
  • Develops and monitors departmental goals, performance metrics, service levels, and operational priorities.
  • Manages personnel activities including hiring, training, coaching, performance management, employee development, and succession planning.
  • Ensures compliance with contractual, regulatory, and records management requirements, including readiness for audits, assessments, reviews, and inspections.
  • Oversees workload distribution, staffing, and resource utilization to meet customer and business requirements.
  • Develops and implements records management and content management policies, procedures, standards, and strategies that support effective information governance and document lifecycle management.
  • Partners with stakeholders to improve service delivery, information accessibility, and records management practices.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements, automation opportunities, and technology solutions to enhance efficiency, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
  • Fosters a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintains effective communication with leadership, customers, and team members regarding operational performance, priorities, and issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Abilities
  • Sufficient fine motor skills for the use of computers, calculators with an ability to withstand repetitive keyboarding for extended periods of time.
  • Visual and communications ability adequate to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Ability to kneel, bend and twist at the waist on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to reach below shoulder height with regular frequency (desk position) and at or above shoulder height on occasion.
  • Ability to push, pull, carry and lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds on a regular basis, and greater weights on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to travel by vehicle or aircraft, and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 or more years of leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
  • Must have identification compliant with the Real ID Act at time of hire.
  • Must be able to obtain Department of Energy access badge.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years of experience performing records management functions in a highly regulated environment, such as government, nuclear, energy, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
Pay Rate: $98,706 - $148,115/ Yearly
