Job Summary

The responsibilities include entering patient information into our software program. It will involve accessing various electronic medical records systems. Looking for a candidate who can type 50+ words per minute with accuracy and provide our customers with the highest quality product and customer service. Must at all times safeguard and protect the patient's right to privacy by ensuring that only authorized individuals have access to the patient's medical information and that all releases of information are in compliance with the request, authorization, company policy, and HIPAA regulations.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Accurately entering patient information into our software program
  2. Access various electronic medical records systems
  3. Provide a high level of customer service
Physical Requirements
  1. Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
  2. Physical ability to lift and carry 25 lbs. of materials
  3. Manual dexterity and strength sufficient enough to enter information via computer keyboard for long periods, write notes, and handle paperwork and supplies
  4. Sufficient eyesight to read documents and view information on a computer monitor
  5. Effective speaking and hearing abilities for communication
  6. Eye/hand coordination, hearing, and visual acuity for daily tasks
Information Governance Accountabilities
  1. Understanding of the organization’s information governance program and role-specific responsibilities
  2. Knowledge of policies, procedures, and how individual work impacts organizational data integrity
  3. Willingness to discuss questions and suggest improvements to ensure standardized work processes
  4. Participation in relevant training for compliance and role-specific tasks
HIPAA/Compliance
  1. Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information and access only on a need-to-know basis
  2. Comply with all security and integrity regulations
  3. Report unethical, fraudulent, or unlawful activities
  4. Maintain current HIPAA certification annually
Qualifications
