Record Clerks provide clerical support to the entire Department. Duties are administrative and include timely data entry, report quality control, and maintaining criminal justice confidentiality across various tasks. The position involves exercising initiative and independent judgment. Daily tasks include typing from electronic dictation or other sources, entering information into databases, composing correspondence, fulfilling open records requests, and basic record-keeping. This is a non-sworn position with no arrest powers.
The open position is part-time 3rd shift and works 28 hours per week on a rotating schedule, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays. The shift is 8.5 hours with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, plus one 4-hour shift per week.
