Job summary

Lower Colorado River Authority is seeking a Records Analyst to advance our Records & Information Department into a technology-forward Information Governance function. You will design and implement programs that raise the bar for compliance, access, and stewardship of organizational knowledge across digital and physical media.

This role manages the full lifecycle of records and artifacts and supports archival administration, enabling teams to work smarter with information.

Qualifications

  • Six or more years of experience in records management, archival administration or library/information science.
  • A degree may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
  • Driver's license required for Records and Archives.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement records programs and policies; structure filing systems and oversee active file conversions.
  • Accessioning/deaccessioning historical items and cataloging media for archival repositories.
  • Evaluate departmental needs and recommend solutions to improve collaboration, compliance, storage, and retrieval.
  • Provide user support and training for document and records management systems; develop QA guidelines, reporting, and metrics.
  • Lead retention schedule work; liaise on retention and disposition, and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Identify vital records and implement protection procedures; document workflows; stay current on industry trends and technologies.

Here's The Role

LCRA is seeking a Records Analyst to assist with document archiving. We're evolving our Records & Information Department into a technology-forward Information Governance function, modernizing how our organization creates, classifies, preserves, and retrieves information across both digital and physical environments. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our transformation - designing and implementing programs that raise the bar for compliance, access, and stewardship of organizational knowledge. You will be managing the full lifecycle of records and artifacts - printed, non-printed, and electronic, while supporting archival administration and enabling teams across the organization to work smarter with information. How You'll Contribute
  • Design and implement records programs and policies; structuring filing systems and overseeing conversions of active files.
  • Responsible for accessioning/deaccessioning historical items and cataloging diverse media for archival repositories.
  • Evaluate departmental needs and recommend solutions to improve collaboration, compliance, storage, and retrieval.
  • Provide user support and training for document and records management systems; developing quality assurance guidelines, reporting, and measurement metrics.
  • Lead retention schedule work (classification, research, draft preparation), acting as liaison on retention and disposition, and ensuring inventory accuracy.
  • Identify vital records and implement protection procedures; documenting workflows and processes; staying current on industry trends and technologies.
How You're Qualified
  • Six or more years of experience in records management, archival administration or library/information science or other relevant experience.
  • A degree(s) in records management, library/information science or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
  • Records and Archives only: Driver's license
