Job summary

TFE Inc. is seeking a Records Analyst III in Carlsbad, NM, to support federal, DOE, state, and WRMO requirements for electronic and hard copy records. You will manage active lifecycle documents, lead records management projects, and help implement electronic management systems.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Willing to travel for up to a week at a time to various locations if needed.
  • US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop resolutions to complex problems requiring in-depth evaluation of variables.

  • Upload documents into EDRMS and establish electronic relationships for configuration control.

Job Type: Full-time

The Records Analyst III supports the implementation of federal, Department of Energy (DOE), state, and WIPP's Records Management Organization (WRMO) requirements regarding the creation, receipt, approval, processing, distribution, use, configuration control, storage, retrieval, retention, and disposition of electronic and hard copy sensitive unclassified documents and records. This position manages the incoming and outgoing communication documents and records in the active stage of their lifecycle. Participates in and/or leads efforts associated with tools migrations, enhancements, or implementation of electronic records management program. Work is accomplished without considerable direction. May exert significant latitude in determining objectives of assignment, and determine the methods and procedures needed for new assignments.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Use professional concepts and WIPP objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
  • Develop resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity and where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Safety and security are a primary responsibility for all employees. Maintains required safety and security training, assures safety and security compliance, and makes safety and security an integral part of every task, including taking the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or compromises security.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to customer organizations on procedures and processes.
  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Resolve issues or challenges associated with managing information in sensitive and unclassified environment.
  • Foster a mutually respectful and inclusive work environment that is free from discrimination and harassment.
  • Demonstrate understanding of Records Management regulations, drivers, and methods to ensure compliance in the processing of records in a compliant Electronic Content Management System.
  • Develop positive customer relationships and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Coordinate work activities and processes effectively with project team members.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in records management requirements to manage records pertaining to the RCRA and the NMED.
  • Perform configuration management requirements as they relate to document control and records management.
  • Upload documents into the Electronic Documents and Records Management System (EDRMS) and establish electronic relationships in support of configuration control.
  • Participate in interviews and meetings for audits, surveillances, assessments, and inspections, as needed.
Requirements
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
  • Wide range of computer skills to include implementation of requirements or enhancements for Records Management-related applications. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe are required.
  • Ability to solve issues or problems based on experience, professional concepts, and organizational objectives.
  • Knowledge using Documentum and other Records Management tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of document control work processes with CCP project and generator site team.
  • Previous WIPP/ Nuclear or records experience is desired.
  • Must exhibit strong communications skills, both written and verbal. Ability to deliver clear and concise communications to individuals at all levels.
  • Must possess excellent organizational, clerical, and time-management skills.
  • Must demonstrate a high regard for professionalism and customer service.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to multi-task.
  • Willing to travel for up to a week at a time to various locations if needed.
  • Is willing to work under minimal supervision while complying with direction, procedures, and requirements.
  • US Citizenship required
Education and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience or High School Diploma + 9 years' relevant experience. Relevant experience includes records management, library science, document and knowledge management, archiving, creation, collection, indexing, digitizing, transportation, and storage of records.

Work Environment, Physical Requirements, and Schedule

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the individual will primarily be in an office setting. The individual will also regularly make onsite visits to various locations. The individual may be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel crouch or crawl, lift (up to 50 lbs.), talk, and hear.
