Job summary

Lactalis American Group in Nampa, Idaho, is hiring a Recook Operator I to rework or recook cheese not packaged and prep it for shredding through the DMC system. This role requires standing for the shift, lifting up to 40 lb, and following SOPs for safety and quality.

You will monitor the shredder, maintain production records, and work with the team to optimize efficiency while complying with ISO22000/ISO9001/HACCP standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in food manufacturing is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lb and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Meet efficiency budgets while ensuring high-quality product.
• Operate shredder machinery to shred cheese efficiently.
• Monitor shredding speed and quality standards.
• Follow SOPs for reworking/recorking cheese and food safety regulations.
• Maintain production records and report issues promptly.
• Collaborate with team to optimize production and reduce downtime.
• Take corrective action for products not meeting specifications.

Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Recook Operator I based in Nampa, . The Recook Operator plays a crucial role in our production process by reworking or recooking cheese that wasn't packaged. This position involves transferring cheese from totes into a shredder for shredding and subsequent processing through the DMC (Dynamic Moisture Control) system.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key Responsibilities For This Position Include

• Meet efficiency budget levels with maintaining a high-quality product.
• Operate shredder machinery to shred cheese efficiently and effectively.
• Monitor the shredding process to maintain optimal speed and quality standards.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for reworking/recorking cheese, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
• Communicate any equipment malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel for timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, including quantities reworked/recorked and any quality issues encountered
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Take immediate corrective action for any product that does not meet quality or product specifications.
• Contribute to continual process improvement and increased performance.
• Participate in internal/external audits and maintain ISO22000/ISO9001/HACCP compliance.

• Basic understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene practices.

• Must be able to stand for the entire shift with repetitive bending, twisting, gripping, lifting, and reaching.
