Job summary

SERVPRO of Virginia Beach is seeking an experienced Reconstruction Estimator to join our team. The role involves visiting job sites after mitigation and demolition, evaluating repairs, and producing accurate reconstruction scopes and estimates using Xactimate.

You will work with project managers and the reconstruction team to ensure estimates are complete and ready for insurance carriers. A valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check are required, with opportunities for

SERVPRO of Virginia Beach is seeking an experienced Reconstruction Estimator to join our team!

This position is responsible for visiting job sites following mitigation and demolition, evaluating the necessary repairs, and preparing accurate reconstruction scopes and estimates using Xactimate.

Job Responsibilities

• Visit job sites after mitigation and demolition are completed.
• Assess damages and determine the scope of repairs needed to restore the property to pre-loss condition.
• Take measurements, document damages, and identify necessary reconstruction work.
• Write detailed reconstruction scopes and prepare estimates in Xactimate.
• Ensure estimates are accurate, complete, and ready for submission to insurance carriers and adjusters.
• Make revisions to estimates as needed based on feedback or additional information.
• Communicate with project managers and the reconstruction team regarding job scopes.

Qualifications

• Experience with Xactimate required.
• Previous experience in reconstruction estimating, insurance restoration, or construction preferred.
• Strong understanding of residential and commercial construction methods and materials.
• Ability to independently assess job sites and develop detailed repair scopes.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who can independently walk a job after demolition, identify everything needed for the rebuild, and produce a thorough, accurate Xactimate estimate in a timely manner.
