Job summary

Modern INFINITI of Winston-Salem is seeking an experienced Recon / Used Car Technician to recondition pre-owned vehicles and ensure they are road-ready. The role covers inspections, diagnostics, and repairs across multiple makes and models to deliver high-quality inventory.

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ASE certifications are a plus; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical inspections and reconditioning on used vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical concerns.
• Complete maintenance and repairs needed to prepare vehicles for sale.
• Perform multi-point inspections and identify recommended repairs.
• Work on a variety of makes and models; maintain quality workmanship.
• Communicate repair needs and vehicle conditions with management.
• Maintain accurate repair orders and documentation.

Up to $25 per flat-rate hour based on experience

Modern INFINITI of Winston-Salem is looking for an experienced Recon / Used Car Technician to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a technician who enjoys working on a variety of makes and models and takes pride in getting pre-owned vehicles mechanically ready for the road.

What You’ll Do

• Perform mechanical inspections and reconditioning on used vehicles

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical concerns

• Complete maintenance and repairs needed to prepare vehicles for sale

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of automotive technician experience

• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills

• Experience working on multiple makes and models preferred

• Previous used-car or reconditioning experience is a plus

• ASE certifications are a plus

Physical Demands

• Walking, sitting, standing, stooping required to repair and drive automobiles, SUVs, vans, pickup trucks, etc.
• Ability to get in and out of vehicles on a frequent basis in conjunction with essential duties and for test drives with customers and other purposes related to the maintenance and repair of new and used vehicles.
• Sitting to perform routine administrative tasks, using fine motor skills, to type using a keyboard, and operate basic office equipment, such as a telephone, scanner/copy machine and calculator.
